Letters to Humanity (part 6)

John finishes the second chapter of his first letter continuing to stress the importance of abiding in God. He then segues into the next chapter, outlining the destiny of our relationship with God. In verse 3, John writes “and everyone who had this hope in Him…” Ultimately, our hope is not in heaven or in our own glory in heaven. Our hope is in Him! We must never set our hope on other things; not on romantic relationships, on success, on a mutual fund, on possessions, or even simply just on ourselves. Our only real hope is in Jesus!
